A time comes in your life when you finally get…when, in the midst of all your fears and insanity, you stop dead in your tracks and somewhere the voice inside your head cries out…ENOUGH1 Enough fighting and crying and blaming and struggling to hold on. Then, like a child quieting down after a tantrum, you blink back your tears and begin to look at the world through new eyes.

This is your awakening.

You realize it’s time to stop hoping and waiting for something to change, or for happiness, safety and security to magically appear over the next horizon.

You realize that in the real world there aren’t always fairy tale endings, and that any guarantee of “happily ever after” must begin with you…and in the process a sense of serenity is born of acceptance.

You awaken to the fact that you are not perfect and that not everyone will always love, appreciate or approve of who or what you are…and that’s OK. They are entitled to their own views and opinions.

You learn the importance of loving and championing yourself…and in the process a sense of new found confidence is born of self-approval.

Your stop complaining and blaming other people for the things they did to you – or didn’t do for you – and you learn that the only thing you can really count on is the unexpected.

You learn that people don’t always say what they mean or mean what they say and that not everyone will always be there for you and everything isn’t always about you.

So, you learn to stand on your own and to take care of yourself…and in the process a sense of safety and security is born of self-reliance.

You learn that principles such as honesty and integrity are not the outdated ideals of a bygone era, but the mortar that holds together the foundation upon which you must build a life.

You learn that you don’t know everything, it’s not you job to save the world and that you can’t teach a pig to sing. You learn the only cross to bear is the one you choose to carry and that martyrs get burned at the stake.

Then you learn about love. You learn to look at relationships as they really are and not as you would have them be. You learn that alone does not mean lonely.

You stop trying to control people, situations and outcomes. You learn to distinguish between guilt and responsibility and the importance of setting boundaries and learning to say NO.

You also stop working so hard at putting your feelings aside, smoothing things over and ignoring your needs.

You learn that your body really is your temple. You begin to care for it and treat it with respect. You begin to eat a balanced diet, drinking more water, and take more time to exercise.

You learn that being tired fuels doubt, fear, and uncertainty and so you take more time to rest. And, just food fuels the body, laughter fuels our soul. So you take more time to laugh and to play.

You learn that, for the most part, you get in life what you deserve, and that much of life truly is a self-fulfilling prophecy.

You learn that anything worth achieving is worth working for and that wishing for something to happen is different than working toward making it happen.

More importantly, you learn that in order to achieve success you need direction, discipline and perseverance. You learn that no one can do it all alone, and that it’s OK to risk asking for help.

You learn the only thing you must truly fear is fear itself. You learn to step right into and through your fears because you know that whatever happens you can handle it and to give in to fear is to give away the right to live life on your own terms.

You learn to fight for your life and not to squander it living under a cloud of impending doom.

You learn that life isn’t always fair, you don’t always get what you think you deserve and that sometimes bad things happen to unsuspecting, good people…and you lean not to always take it personally.

You learn that nobody’s punishing you and everything isn’t always somebody’s fault. It’s just life happening. You learn to admit when you are wrong and to build bridges instead of walls.

You lean that negative feelings such as anger, envy and resentment must be understood and redirected or they will suffocate the life out of you and poison the universe that surrounds you.

You learn to be thankful and to take comfort in many of the simple things we take for granted, things that millions of people upon the earth can only dream about: a full refrigerator, clean running water, a soft warm bed, a long hot shower.

Then, you begin to take responsibility for yourself by yourself and you make yourself a promise to never betray yourself and to never, ever settle for less than you heart’s desire.

You make it a point to keep smiling, to keep trusting, and to stay open to every wonderful possibility.

You hang a wind chime outside your window so you can listen to the wind.

Finally, with courage in you heart, you take a stand, you take a deep breath, and you begin to design the life you want to live as best as you can.

1. First Important Lesson - "Know The Cleaning Lady"

During my second month of college, our professor gave us a pop quiz. I was a conscientious student and had breezed through the questions, until I read the last one: "What is the first name of the woman who cleans the school?"

Surely this was some kind of joke. I had seen the cleaning woman several times. She was tall, dark-haired and in her 50s, but how would I know her name? I handed in my paper, leaving the last question blank. Just before class ended, one student asked if the last question would count toward our quiz grade.

"Absolutely," said the professor. "In your careers, you will meet many people. All are significant. They deserve your attention and care, even if all you do is smile and say "hello."

I've never forgotten that lesson. I also learned her name was Dorothy.

2. Second Important Lesson - "Pickup In The Rain"

One night, at 11:30 p.m., an older African American woman was standing on the side of an Alabama highway trying to endure a lashing rainstorm. Her car had broken down and she desperately needed a ride. Soaking wet, she decided to flag down the next car.

A young white man stopped to help her, generally unheard of in those conflict-filled 1960s. The man took her to safety, helped her get assistance and put her into a taxicab.

She seemed to be in a big hurry, but wrote down his address and thanked him. Seven days went by and a knock came on the man's door. To his surprise, a giant console color TV was delivered to his home.

A special note was attached. It read: "Thank you so much for assisting me on the highway the other night. The rain drenched not only my clothes, but also my spirits. Then you came along. Because of you, I was able to make it to my dying husband's bedside just before he passed away. God bless you for helping me and unselfishly serving others."

3. Third Important Lesson - "Remember Those Who Serve"

In the days when an ice cream sundae cost much less, a 10 year-old boy entered a hotel coffee shop and sat at a table. A waitress put a glass of water in front of him. "How much is an ice cream sundae?" he asked. "50¢," replied the waitress.

The little boy pulled his hand out of his pocket and studied the coins in it.

"Well, how much is a plain dish of ice cream?" he inquired. By now more people were waiting for a table and the waitress was growing impatient. "35¢!" she brusquely replied.

The little boy again counted his coins. "I'll have the plain ice cream," he said. The waitress brought the ice cream, put the bill on the table and walked away. The boy finished the ice cream, paid the cashier and left.

When the waitress came back, she began to cry as she wiped down the table. There, placed neatly beside the empty dish, were two nickels and five pennies. You see, he couldn't have the sundae, because he had to have enough left to leave her a tip.

4. Fourth Important Lesson - "The Obstacles In Our Path"

In ancient times, a King had a boulder placed on a roadway. Then he hid himself and watched to see if anyone would remove the huge rock. Some of the king's wealthiest merchants and courtiers came by and simply walked around it. Many loudly blamed the King for not keeping the roads clear, but none did anything about getting the stone out of the way.

Then a peasant came along carrying a load of vegetables. Upon approaching the boulder, the peasant laid down his burden and tried to move the stone to the side of the road. After much pushing and straining, he finally succeeded. After the peasant picked up his load of vegetables, he noticed a purse lying in the road where the boulder had been. The purse contained many gold coins and a note from the King indicating that the gold was for the person who removed the boulder from the roadway. The peasant learned what many of us never understand - "Every obstacle presents an opportunity to improve our condition."

5. Fifth Important Lesson - "Giving When It Counts"

Many years ago, when I worked as a volunteer at a hospital, I got to know a little girl named Liz who was suffering from a rare and serious disease. Her only chance of recovery appeared to be a blood transfusion from her 5-year-old brother, who had miraculously survived the same disease and had developed the antibodies needed to combat the illness. The doctor explained the situation to her little brother, and asked the little boy if he would be willing to give his blood to his sister. I saw him hesitate for only a moment before taking a deep breath and saying, "Yes, I'll do it if it will save her."

As the transfusion progressed, he lay in bed next to his sister and smiled, as we all did, seeing the color returning to her cheeks. Then his face grew pale and his smile faded. He looked up at the doctor and asked with a trembling voice, "Will I start to die right away?".

Being young, the little boy had misunderstood the doctor; he thought he was going to have to give his sister all of his blood in order to save her.

When life gets stressful, we often forget the things we should remember, and remember the things we should forget.

You must create and look for opportunities. Opportunities rarely ever come knocking on the door of someone who’s not seeking them. You have to create and seek opportunities for yourself. You have to take the initiative to get the ball rolling and the doors opening.
If it’s out of your control, why fret about it? Concentrating on things you can control is how you make good things happen.

No matter how much progress you make there will always be the people who insist that whatever you’re trying to do is impossible. Or they may incessantly suggest that the idea or dream as a whole is utterly ridiculous because nobody really cares. When you come across these people, don’t try to reason with them. Instead, forget that they exist. They will only waste your time and energy.
If you spend 80% of your time focusing on the problem and only 20% on the solution, what do you think is going to happen?
No matter how badly you think your life may be going, or how messed up you think you are, there is at least one thing you are doing right in your life or you wouldn’t be alive reading this.
A problem is a chance for you to learn.
The greatest struggle is to be something different from what the average man is.
In times of great stress, it’s always wise to keep busy, to plow your anger and frustration into something positive.
One thing is for sure: Regardless of the situation, life goes on.
Everyone wants a perfect ending. But over the years I’ve learned that some of the best poems don’t rhyme, and many great stories don’t have a clear beginning, middle, or end. Life is about not knowing, embracing change, and taking a moment and making the best of it without knowing what’s going to happen next.

* Amazing week spent just the girls and I down in Newport
* Found a Babysitter and The girls enjoy going to her home!
* Able to get into all my classes
*payed my last Traffic ticket fine :)
- Court Issues again :( (not mine)
- My school books put me out over $500 (8 books total)
-lost my amazing car issuance cus I got a ticket back in April :( just got the notice today
-Lawyer set me a nice bill a lil more then my books cost!
-let Lindsay do my hair while watching tv. she twirled the comb and got it so in tangled we had to cut the comb
took about 1hr to get it all out and the massive tangeled it created
-Grant was delayed by 10-15days (serious how am I suppose to pay for school if you wont give me my grants till 4weeks after all my fees are due and books need to be bought?)
-Dr. think Lindsay has Asthma :(
-Homework hrs and hrs of Homework for the first week of school :(

My Highs & Lows for the Month of Aug!

*- Hailey's off track for the whole month I haven't decided if this is a High or Low yet :)

-Broke my toe climbing over a baby gate (feel dumb but it really hurts ha ha)

*Spent a couple days playing at Disneyland

*Have been able to go swimming every week!

* Signed up and got into all my classes and will receive my Child Development certificate after I finish these classes still got two semesters till I get my AA but half way done

* going on vacation for a week just me and the girls ( really excited we will be at the beach everyday!)

*Took the girls hiking

*NO homework for the whole month

* A couple of Girls nights

* Lindsay has started to sleep with two teddy bears they go and do everything with us (I fear for if or when we lose them :/

-Still can not find a baby sitter for the girls while I am in school

- both girls have been very emotional this month have had a couple big melt downs

-My gas gauge is broke so I don't know how much gas I have I got to keep track of my miles such a pain! I Found this out only after I ran out of gas and it said I has 1/2 a tank :/

Oak Nature Center
We love to jump in the car and head up to our lil' secret spot. I feel comfortable enough to adventure here alone, but today while grandma was out in LA taking her mom to brunch with her sisters, we brought grandpa along :) The Nature center has a tiny museum of sorts, that houses all the wild life found in the area! So on our hike we saw lots of spiders, birds, and a few rabbits....
NO snakes today :)

The Broken Toe...
On Thursday 28th of July I was hopping over a baby gate and my 5th toe(the baby) got caught and broke right at the base :(
I never new that one lil tiny toe could hurt so bad! lol.... I go back to the Dr.'s on Monday and I am hoping nothing else has to be done.

After stoping in Brigham City and Honeyville we head out to the Gold Spike! As we drove along the road to nowhere with about 20miles to go we came across a sign the read Gold Spike National Park
Hours of Operation 8am-6pm
It was 5:30pm we got their just as they were closing the and ran threw the inside museum and saw the spike and then went out to the tracks... they don't close of the outside so we stuck around and enjoyed grandpa story of the Gold Spike. Lindsay started walking off ahead and I quickly ran to catch up I went a few steps ahead and was startled by a Large Snake(it was dead) but still scared the crap out of me... I was done adventuring among the train tracks and took Lindsay back to where Grandpa and Hailey were :)

Okay two blocks is not far... for me. This is what went on while we walk down to the church from 2 blocks away.

ME: thinking.....and this is why I was not a pioneer... Well maybe I could of done it...be a pioneer that is... but not in heels and not having known the luxuries of modern life..aka cars..nice shoes...nice warm jackets etc

My goal is to really change the mind set I have towards the things I am not to thrilled about!

I really am grateful for little lesson of life... that teach me to humble my self!

I have a new love in life! Yes! I am in love with photography!!! I love every aspect... catching those tender moments forever. I am more of a realist photographer I am not into staging so much but catching people in those little cherished moments. As I began to educate myself and develop this talent I ask that anyone who want family pics, couple,kids,animal not hesitate to ask!!! I have prearrange a couple of free sessions for the holidays!
As a single mom I know that it is not fair to not have those pictures beause you can't afford them. One of my goals as a photographer is to have packages available for every family situation! On that note my gift to anyone who wants to take me up on it, is free family photos ( just bring your own sd card or cd or thumb drive to put the picture onto! SMALL PRINT LOL: I do not have any background just a pure love for people,nature, and photography.... When I take pictures I urge you to dress how every you want bring some props that you love and use in daily life! I love to play dress up too.. like just the other day I told my girls they were fairies dressed them up in their Halloween costumes and let them play.... they look for treasures and found so much fun in the little adventure.... I just snap pics along the way.... I can not wait to start this business and hopes by next spring to have it all in place :) maybe even with business cards :p hahah .... I am willing to travel but ask for small donation for gas or u drive! unless its withing 10 miles of corona is free but outside that area I ask of $10 donation :) or bribes do well too hahah... this is until I am a officially start my business :) hahah... 3 Weeks of: a high fever of 103.0 and above + two ear infections + pinkeye in both eye+ bad chest cold + strep throat = 8 Dr. Visits and 3 antibiotics. :( while everything else was cured by the 14th of may she still had a high fever everyday! It wasn't till I took her to the Dr. and showed them her when she wasn't on ibuprofen laying helpless crying and very lethargic. We gave her ibuprofen and within a hr she was running around sing and dancing! This was such a shock to the Dr. they didn't know what was causing the high fever since all the other symptoms had cleared up! The only sign of her being sick was this high fever! They did some blood work and urine test and came back with very high levels of white blood cells and protein in her urine. They admitted her to the hospital and spent the next few day at the hospital. Lulu had an Iv with strong antibiotic and we just waited to see what the blood test brought back. The first blood test showed signs of infection in the blood but came back neg after two more test. Her fever was gone by day two but since the positive blood test the had to keep her another 72hrs. When we left Lindsay was showing no signs of being sick! The whole time we were there nurse would stop in and comment on the happiest sick person at the hospital :) They were very impressed by her saying "thank you" after revising a blood test and getting her iv put in! Yes she thank them! lol I am just glad this trial is over. I am also glad to have been blessed to stay the whole time with her. We got to bond so much over horrible hospital food and Disney movies :) Thank you for all your love and support to me and my family during this time!

We had such a fun time celbrating Hailey 6th Birthday!
Princess and the Frog was here theme! lol She enjoyed her fav. dinner by choice over and restaurant she wanted to stay home and have mac and cheese with hot dogs & carrots! with OUT grandpas secret ingredient aka a little brown sugar add to the cooked carrots! She decided after words that why she really like the cooked carrots! lol
Her cake was made to order purple cake with pink frosting and green writing lol
She enjoyed all her gifts! I enjoy her Aqua sand lol that is the most awesome stuff! She loved the money and her princess n the frog singing card! She also got cute dresses from Grandma kiki witch she tries to wear ever other day! Grandma Carol and Papa Simon gave her a gift card to build a bear where she shared with lulu and they both got to build a dog...Named puppy and a Bear named ...Bob lol

We love are LULU shes becoming such a big girl! 18months old she loves to be right next to sister! She love to laugh and make funny sounds that make us laugh! She loves to eat her nongreen veggies espcialy corn on the cob! She loves animals and most of the have the name dog even if they fly swim or mooo!!! She fold her arms to pray and loves to copy sister words while praying! She love strawberry too!
and already has an obsetion of shoes we put shose on all by ourself and say shoes shoe shoes every chance we get! LULU love having a baby near by she will put a dipper on and then say potty then take of the diaper! feed her baby all kinds of food (mommy gets to clean baby dolls face almost as much as Lulu's)

Hailey Had such a great time at the YMC preschool program she had asome teachers who helped her get ready for Kindergarden! Earlyer this week we went and visted with Haileys NEW Kindergarden teacher Mrs. Vasqueise She seems realy nice! Hailey will be going to Full day 715am to 155 pm every day! wow is she going to be tierd! I cant belive my babys going to Kindergarden I hope I dont cry!

We have lots of them around are area and she loves to pick them up if they are on the side walk then chuck them back into the nearest patch of grass! Hailey now loves going to her great grandmas house she found almost 20 while playing in her backyard!!! She was in heaven! The other day she took outside her pale for the beach and had found a Rollie polly placed him inside she then put the pale in the umbrella stroller and took her new "pet" Lu for a walk later that night she asked if she could check on him sure enough he was upside down lying still as a rock. I was really thinking I was going to have to go find a new one but then my smart 5year old say mom he's not dead he just sleeping no really mom he just sleeping I was saying to my self man shes going to be so upset when he doesn't wake up anyways we came in side and went to bed, we woke up the next day and checked on the Rollie polly and he was in the same position as we had left him the night before! Hailey then puts some grass and a drop of water to "FEED" her pet TO my surprise he flipped over and started walking around who would of known Rollie pollys do sleep!! ( This was followed by I told you so mom he's alive he's alive!) Then she took him for another walk! ( dont worry sister lulu got mad that the Rollie polly had gotten to go for a walk in Her stroller and dumped him out while she climbed into the stroller (luckily Hailey thought that was funny and just started pushing sis around! Well till tomorrow when another Rollie polly adventure begins

My Sweet baby is now becoming more and more like a Two year old!She went to Nursery for the first time today and was Assume! Here fave words right now are of course NO! NO! NO! did i mention NO lol......." di aug in" which is do it again, more please. HI YA while kick her leg up karate maybe in the near future :) . MY fave lulu thing is her secrets she just started to sit on my lap move my hair away from my ear and go shshshshsh very softly or she will say luv u! Just ask her to tell you a secret and she runs right on over So fun!!!
Today she also sneezed a few times in a row the right after smiled and started faking the sneeze buy doing raspberries with her lips and throwing her head down then she covers her nose! My baby has also started biting UGGGG!! A dumb gene past down from me!!!! Just ask my big sis she got it just a few times from me lol OK more then a few!!! Well LULU has only made contact with skin once poor Haily! But yet Hailey had her fair bites too so what goes around comes around!!!

Our Big sis. Loves to be outdoors sidewalk chalk and her scooter is her forte! She tries so hard not to fall but some how always come in with a scrap on her knees!
Hailey's learning how to spell and ask for the letter of almost anything that comes to her mind we spell it out on the sidewalks with chalk and on any spare paper in the house! She loves making list of Items we need to buy at the store! I am so excited to watch her learn so much! She doing so well on her sight words too!

So we went for a drive up into the foothills behind my work Cajalco and end up out by march air force base. My Grandfather was a marine and was buried out at the Arlington Cemetery it has been a while since I had been out their it was kind of nice to show my girls where their great grandfather was buried and how he was a marine like daddy! My sister husbands family is so sweet and the invited us out to Victorville for a Birthday party! Hailey had only seen Millie once before but the way they acted you thought they were best friends for years! She now goes around saying my best friend is my cousin we tried to explain the relation with her own cousin and she got confuse so we just call them cousin :) She always prays now that we can go and have a sleep over (wich we are in a few weeks when the Dads are going camping )

Last Saturday Gabe was baptized we are so proud of him! So many people tell me what a change he has made and I know exactly what they are talking about! He is gentler calmer and has an over all glow about him. I so proud of him and what a big change he has made for himself and our family. Today Gabe received the priesthood and I am so excited for him! The other day he told me wen I am ready to serve I want to take every chance I get! I told him of my love to serve and how much it helps me! Iam so glad he now has the change to serve. something that wasn't so import to him in his past, but has always been apart of him. This is one thing about Gabe is that he will do anything for anyone, and with the priesthood he will be a great servant to the lord.

Gabe has been such a blessing to me. We have been threw a lot in the small amount of time we been together. I know life not easy but it sure is a heck lot easier when your both on the same page! We always use to say that we weren't even in the same book and then he started taking the missionary lesson and we were getting in the same book then we tease we were in the same chapter now we are on the same page and its great! he he he! I am so excited for this next month we get to go to the Temple and do baptisms for the Dead with the youth in our ward!

Potato Soup
4 cans of peeled potatos (15-20 whole potato small)
heat till u can mash!
1 lb of chedder chesse
a hand full of green onion and or yellow (sate first)
milk
salt
pepper

Sate onions, melt chesse with a cup of milk to start, seprate bowl- mash but not to much, your potatos you want it a little lumpy!
add to chesse mixture and stir in milk till desired thickness add salt and pepper to tast! Add a little shreded chesse and green onion on top for looks and your good to go took only about 15-20min we had ours with rolls would be good in bread bowls too!

So Hailey has some princess pez and last night while I was on the computer and some cute little girl we call Hailey came up and shot me with a package of unopened pez candy then ran and did it again while laughing her head off ;) So this is how she dose it she load the unopened package in the bottom of pez dispenser and puts her finger over it aims and Fire! Lindsay is 5months old. She is such a joy in our lives! She loves her big sis, when Hailey’s not around her she is constantly looking for her and gets a big grin when she sees her! Lu Lu loves attention: P She has found that people pay a lot of attention to her high pitched screams. She does sleep thru the night and has four a couple of weeks. I can’t believe she has baby blue eye I love them and hope she keeps them! I have had such an easy time with her and know she is a true blessing. Lu Lu looks and acts a lot like Gabe she is very calm and sensitive! Two qualities I love about Gabe !

Hailey is going to be the big 4 in two weeks! She loves to laugh and play with her friends Elle and Jeff, Becca and the boys. She can’t wait to go to school but comets on that she has to get shots to go to school. She is our little ray of sunshine and always keeps us laughing with the funny things she says and does. Hailey is so smart and picks up on things very quickly. She knows she can do things, yet still ask for help just to see if you will help her. This drives mommy crazy especial during learning time! Hailey love the Disney princess and can’t wait till she can go to California to visit grandma and grandpa! She wants to help grandma in the garden and told grandma she wants to plant blue flowers! (Good luck finding them mom)

Well this past year has been Crazy. We moved across country to the strange crazy world of Utah! Still don't know if I like it here but we have adjusted. We both took on full time civilian jobs. We have also been doing a paper route. I never knew that it paid so much! Hailey Started School at the Daycare I teach at and have become such a very creative little thing.

And Hailey turn 3 on Friday I can't believe my baby is three! We are having a Princess Birthday party and the Wheeler Farm and I are sure to post the pics as soon as possible!
Her favorite thing to do is as mom or dad to draw..... Some farm animal my animal end up look a lot alike where daddies are in detail lol. Hailey knows how to draw her H A for her name and recognizes her letters where ever we go.
Gabe is still working for the great old company of RCwilley and he final gets his discount next week. Hopefully we will be getting our new couches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He love to be at home in his bed and if he’s not there you will find him playing his new Passion Paint ball! I love the fact that he comes home with big welts on his chest I could do that for free :) jk.
Baby Delgado is on the move we think it’s a boy but won’t know for a couple more weeks! He hates tomatos and lettuce and makes me sick about three to four times a week. I am already having Braxton hick contractions! We will keep you up on the details
